2-DAY WORKSHOP WITH CARL AUSTIN HYATT
LEADERSHIP, CREATIVITY AND MAGIC
AN EXPLORATION OF CONSCIOUSNESS
This unique workshop has been in the making for many years. At Stifinder, we are very proud and pleased to present one of our beloved teachers and elders, Mr. Carl Austin Hyatt.
We have created this experiential workshop for the courageously curious – for those, who want to peek behind the curtain of our cultural assumptions and explore some of the neglected aspects of our innate human abilities. Our intention is to provide you with the opportunity, as well as the capacity, to set free the powers and abilities, inherent to our vibrant and connected humanity.
Western culture often overestimates the importance of the rational and the analytical mind. We have been trained in – and rewarded for – these skills. Even though we, as human beings, and leaders, know we contain so many more resources, ready to be activated and capable of a much deeper and broader presence in the world.
While exploring the living field of nature and truly connecting with our vibrant core of self, we are granted access to a deep inner field of energy, connectedness, and beauty.
There is a conscious inner field of knowing within us that wants to be in contact with the larger field of knowing and being we exist in.
There are sources of creativity, wisdom and connection our overly rationalist, materialist culture has dismissed as outdated, inefficient and unreliable. But these sources of wisdom were and are the foundation of every great culture this planet has ever seen. We are built to connect to this knowing field. These practices, while perhaps out of fashion and largely ignored are known. During these two days we will explore our own consciousness and the consciousness of creation itself.
For half a century Carl Hyatt has been exploring the wisdom and traditions of indigenous cultures all over the world. It is this vast library of knowledge and experience that Carl brings to you as leaders and to our Stifinder community.
TRUE LEADERSHIP IN A NEW PARADIGM
An important task for us as leaders is to see, feel, and sense the larger forces and patterns that are influencing our organizations, our projects, and our larger mission. Interestingly, the traditions of indigenous cultures speak powerfully to the challenges we face in our culture in these unique times. As we become more aware of these contextual currents, we can become more skillful in creating outcomes that benefit everyone around us, employees, stakeholders, customers, family members and the wider community.
This workshop offers a deep developmental process helping you access your own inherent source of wisdom as a leader and a partner in creating life enhancing outcomes. In a beautiful flow of theory and practice Carl – joined by Christer Zäll – will guide us in motion with the living matrix of creativity that is unfolding around us in every moment. As participants, we are crucial in this unfolding, living in a deeply participatory reality.
In releasing the creativity and magic of leadership, we are required to become aware of the personal and cultural assumptions, perceptions and stories that are often invisible, taken for granted or hidden in the back of our awareness. Our traditional Western view of the world, while powerful in many ways, is also increasingly challenged by the influence of limitations and blind spots. In this workshop we will investigate those unexamined assumptions which shape and influence our intellectual, cultural, and spiritual views as human beings and as leaders.
We navigate our lives to the best of our abilities consciously or unconsciously. However, we sometimes sense there is something deeper – ways of being and knowing, insights and capabilities, we have yet to access. Our undertakings are nested in yet larger patterns and influences, which necessarily define how we think about our lives, our dreams, and our projects. This consensual reality we all share, implies a point of view. Creating new realities involves shifting perceptual states, that involves more than our intellect. To manifest in this world, they must be embodied. Through exercises and playfulness, we will explore our natural creative abilities, with open hearts and all senses alerts.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
As leaders and as human beings we have a lot to discover. Understandably, our minds have been conditioned and shaped by the schooling and thinking which were meant to prepare us to thrive in our culture – and we have. But the fact is, sometimes we all need to quest for new sources of inspiration and creativity.
During two intense days, we will explore and unfold some of the essential truths that we are somewhat “overruled” with the birth of Western culture.
Many of these core insights resonate with indigenous cultures across the globe and the ancient wisdom teachings of the Western tradition. We will introduce indigenous wisdom traditions – especially from Peru and Africa – which point to how we can open ourselves to receive the knowledge we seek directly from the mystery of the living cosmos. These traditions see humanity and the natural world in a dynamic, vital, mysterious and life enhancing relationship.
Our planet and organizations – today more than ever – require conscious leaders who can see the larger context and the larger frame. Leaders whose vision can transcend outdated contexts in service to their families, their community and to the world.
